Interested in BCTC's Medical Health Professions Program?

Berks Career & Technology Center, Penn State Berks, & Reading Hospital – Tower Health are collaborating to offer Medical Health Professions (A Senior Only Program)!

The Medical Health Professions program exposes high school seniors to various healthcare professions and education so they can make informed decisions about their future education. Students accepted to this program will:
• Spend 2 days a week at the Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences with a BCTC instructor, learning theory and health related skills.
• Gain real-world experience by job shadowing Health Care Professionals in various hospital departments 1 day a week.
• Attend Penn State Berks 2 days a week to earn up to 7 college credits.

*To be accepted into this competitive program, students must apply in the fall of their junior year.

Choose from over 30 career training programs taught in exceptionally well-equipped labs. Instructors are industry trained and experienced. Students earn industry licenses and certifications. Federal financial aid is available for most Day School programs.

Evening programs include Trade Prep programs, Certification Courses, Apprenticeships, Welding and Machining classes, EMT training and Online classes. Students learn from experienced trainers in industry specific laboratories.

BCTC offers a Class A and Class B Professional Tractor-Trailer Driver training program including manual and automatic transmission tractors. Students are well prepared to pass the PennDOT Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) exam. Day and evening classes are available.
