Opportunity for Improvement (OFI)

An important component of any effective continuous improvement system is to provide opportunities for staff and stakeholders of BCTC to provide direct input at any given time to improve the organizations systems, processes and procedures. Opportunities for Improvement (OFI) is the means by which BCTC obtains that ongoing input into the system. When an OFI is received it is entered into the OFI log, reviewed by the Management Team and, as appropriate, assigned to an administrator for review. The administrator is required to determine “root cause” and develop an action plan to address the improvement issue. The administrative team reviews the status of all outstanding OFIs. No OFI is closed out until it is approved by the management team. The originator of the OFI is informed of the status of the OFI and when it is closed. Staff members or other stakeholders who require further information about the status of any OFI can direct their questions to the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director. The OFI log is not available for public review due to the confidential nature of some of the OFIs and to maintain the unanimity of the person submitting the OFI.

OFIs submitted anonymously will be forwarded to the process supervisor for information only and will be closed. No reply will be provided.
