Last week, students from BCTC's East and West Campus HOSA – Future Health Professionals chapters attended the Pennsylvania State HOSA Conference in Lancaster, PA. The event provided students with opportunities to participate in industry-focused workshops and showcase their skills in various healthcare-related competitions.

Two BCTC Sports Medicine and Rehabilitative Therapy (SMaRT) students achieved top honors in their respective competitions. Miguel Villegas, a Wilson senior, earned first place in the Occupational Therapy event, while Isabella Ely, a Conrad Weiser senior, secured first place in the Sports Medicine competition. Their outstanding performances have qualified them to compete at the National HOSA Conference in June in Nashville, TN.

Nursing Assistant: 2nd place – Kaitlyn Lindner, Schuylkill Valley
Health Education: 3rd place – Sky Ortiz, Governor Mifflin & Daisy Deavers, Tulpehocken
Health Career Photography: 3rd place - Zofia Beer-Azripe, Wyomissing
Patient Care Technician: 3rd place – Isabella , Boyertown
Research Persuasive Speaking and Writing: 3rd place – Angelina Laire, Medical Health Professions, Boyertown

Additionally, four BCTC students were awarded Penn HOSA scholarships for their dedication to healthcare studies:
